York Ebor Festival
Another fantastic week of racing up ahead with us going to the north, York is one of the Premier tracks that we are so lucky to have and the Ebor festival is one of its biggest weeks in the calendar.
Starting off Wednesday with Arabian Force being my standout ride of the day in the Great Voltiger, he was quite unlucky to not be a listed winner already after going down narrowly at Hamilton and looks like a very progressive and scopey type for the future. He will have to take on dual Derby winner Lambourn, but hopefully he can put up a big performance and down the big guns!
Santorini Star and Nad Alshiba Green are my other two rides, and sit at both ends of the speed spectrum, with the former tackling the extended 2 mile trip for the first time, and latter blitzing the minimum trip of 5 furlongs.
Amongst my other rides through the meeting, my best certainly look to be Do Or Do Not dual stakes placed 2 year old, Bullet Point our Royal Ascot second in the Britannia, Aeolian who was an impressive maiden winner carrying the Royal Silks, Golden Handsheikh who will also be trying to get his head in front to be a Royal Winner, and Celandine who will take her place in the 5 furlong Group 1 Nunthorpe.
It’s looking like it’s going to be consistently nice weather, so hopefully the grounds team at York can provide us with some nice fair ground as they always manage to achieve for the fantastic week of racing ahead!
